About

Bio

He’s been coined a “critically acclaimed Minnesota favorite” by Northfield News; Tim has captivated audiences for 20 years with his smooth, soulful vocals and fresh, percussive guitar work. He’s a true craftsman, his eclectic songwriting style across 4 full-length solo albums delivers a variety of memorable melodies and meaningful lyrics that keep listeners coming back for more.

Whether you hear him solo, duo or with his band (the Nomads) you’re guaranteed music that blends elements of Folk, Rock, Country, and Pop styles. You’ll hear influences of Gavin DeGraw, John Mellencamp, John Hiatt, Garth Brooks, Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, the Eagles, Tom Petty and Van Morrison.

In addition to working on his original music, Tim also runs Discover Music, a nonprofit that teaches middle school students to write their own songs and record them in a real studio with professional musicians. His commitment to education is woven into his musical life through a service called Patreon, where album sales are channeled directly into supporting his work in schools.

His latest album “Somebody, Somewhere” ,released summer of 2017, is a collection of stories; some real and some imagined, detailing the struggles of everyday life that we all have to deal with. It’s my hope that we can all find a piece of ourselves in these songs and use them to spur us on to greater heights or treat them as cautionary tales and avoid some of the pitfalls we’ll inevitably face.

The real message is that we’re not alone. No matter what we’re working through, there’s somebody, somewhere that’s doing the same.
